Nature & Purpose Of PositionThe videographer is responsible for representing the SHSU Campus Recreation brand through visual images that will be used in publications, advertising, website, and social media platforms. The Videographer provides marketing support by filming stock video of live events and staged shoots. This position is also responsible for editing videos and assisting with general marketing support.
Responsibilities- Filming activities relating to Campus Recreation
- Importing and organizing videos after shoots
- Finalizing films in Adobe Premiere Pro or software videographer is comfortable using
- Ability to be artistic while at the same time creating professional videos
- Attend monthly staff meetings; trainings per semester
- Adhere to departmental guidelines and policies
- Performing the duties of the marketing ambassador when needed
- Be efficient in the use of DSLR camera
- Show sufficient sports or movement based photographing skills
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom or Aperture
- Have most evenings open
- Communicate with Marketing Supervisor effectively
