Nature & Purpose Of PositionThe Dean of Students’ Office is looking for a motivated and dependable Student Assistant to support our programs, events, and initiatives that serve and engage the student body.
Position Highlights- Contribute to a variety of student-centered programs and campus initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with full-time staff and other student employees.
- Develop professional skills in a supportive, fast-paced environment.
- Provide general office support (e.g., answering phones, greeting visitors, managing supplies).
- Assist in planning and executing departmental events and workshops.
- Support the implementation of outreach efforts and student engagement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by department staff.
- Ability to work 18-25 hours per week, depending on department needs.
- Available Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend hours.
- Must be available to work during semester breaks, especially in the summer.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- A proactive and team-oriented attitude.

Other Requirements For The PositionStudent Assistants support the daily operations of the Dean of Students’ Office and should be adaptable, reliable, and team oriented. Responsibilities and tasks may vary based on strengths and availability but typically include:
Core Duties- Respond to emails, phone calls, and social media inquiries.
- Maintain office equipment and organize shared spaces.
- Track and restock office supplies.
- Process absence memos and felony conviction forms.
- Complete general administrative tasks (scanning, printing, copying, etc.).
- Check and distribute mail for the VPSA/Dean of Students’ Office.
- Create marketing materials.
- Assist with research, reports, and special projects.
- Support event preparation and communication efforts.
- Professional, dependable, and detail oriented.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office;
Canva experience is a plus. - Available in 2–4-hour blocks, Monday-Friday between 8 a.m.
-5 p.m.
