Overview

If you are a world-class Coach & Leader who lives for developing athletes and building elite coaching teams inside one of the fastest-growing fitness franchises in the United States… this Head Coach opportunity at D1 Training is for you.

THIS IS NOT an entry-level coaching role.

This is a leadership position for a coach who can step in on day one and run the floor, command the turf, develop staff, and deliver a world-class training experience to every athlete that walks through the door — from 7-year-old beginners to college-bound and pro-level athletes to 40-year-old parents getting their lives back. If the opportunity above excites you — if you want to love coming to work every day, make a real impact on thousands of lives, and step into a role that plays a critical part in the continued growth of the D1 brand across the United States — this position may be for you.

This is your chance to take your career to the next level by stepping into the “big leagues” alongside some of the most respected names in the sports performance industry.

However, if you do not love coaching people, leading teams, being held accountable, and operating at a championship standard… this role will not be a fit. In that case, please do not apply.

Key Skills Required For This Position
  • LEADER. This Head Coach must be the tone-setter inside the facility. You must lead from the front, demand excellence, and create a culture where coaches WANT to get better and athletes WANT to train harder.
  • COACH. You should be able to step in on day one and coach anyone. We train: 7–11 year olds; 12–14 year olds; 15–18 year old athletes;
    Adults 18–60+;
    One-on-one elite athletes. There is no ego here. You must LOVE coaching everyone.
  • DEVELOPER. You will mentor, train, and develop the coaching staff. You must be able to:
    Run coach education;
    Correct technique;
    Improve class flow;
    Hold coaches accountable;
    Turn average coaches into high-level performers.
  • OPERATOR. You are responsible for delivering a world-class product every single hour the doors are open — programming execution, safety, class quality, athlete experience, and staff performance.
  • A Day In The Life Of A Head Coach

    You wake up excited because you get to build champions today.

    You walk into a world-class facility with turf, racks, and athletes who expect excellence. You review the day's class schedule and coach coverage. You already know which coaches are on the floor, who needs support, and where you’ll be most impactful. You lead or oversee an adult class first. You ensure:

    • The whiteboard is written
    • The turf and weight room are set
    • Coaches are ready
    • The music is up
    • The energy is high

    You move through the room correcting form, motivating athletes, and ensuring a world-class experience.

    After class you debrief a coach — giving feedback on class flow, cues, and athlete engagement.

    Next you coach a few one-on-one sessions:

    • A 10-year-old athlete just learning to move
    • A high school athlete training for college

    You write the programming, deliver the session, and help change their future.

    Later you lead a scholastic class (ages 12–14) — same intensity, same excellence, same standard.

    Before you leave, you check in with your coaching team, review any issues from the day, and make sure tomorrow is already set up for success.

    You head home knowing that athletes got better, coaches got better, and the facility ran like a championship program.

    If that day excites you — this job is for you.

    Core Responsibilities
    • Lead, mentor, and develop all coaches
    • Ensure world-class execution of every class and session
    • Run coach education and technical development
    • Maintain athlete safety and movement quality
    • Oversee class flow, energy, and coaching standards
    • Manage scheduling and staffing
    • Drive athlete retention through elite coaching
    • Deliver strength, speed, and performance programming
    • Create a positive, competitive, high-performance culture
    Qualifications
    • AED / CPR / First Aid Certified
    • At least one nationally accredited certification (CSCS, NASM, CPT, etc.)
    • 1+ year of strength & conditioning or group training experience (preferred 3+)
    • Bachelor's degree in Exercise…
