Role: Software Engineer - C/C++ Development

Location: Huntsville, AL(Onsite)
Employment Type: Contract

About the Role

In this role, you will contribute to the full software engineering lifecycle in alignment with the program's Software Development Plan (SDP). You will work across requirements analysis, object-oriented design, implementation, unit testing, integration, and support for formal test and delivery activities.

We're looking for engineers who thrive in collaborative environments, enjoy solving complex problems, and bring strong experience in C/C++ or similar languages.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the full software engineering lifecycle, including analysis, design, coding, testing, and integration.
• Apply object-oriented analysis and design principles to develop high-quality, maintainable software.
• Implement and execute unit tests; support integration and formal qualification testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering disciplines.
• Develop software aligned to detailed technical and system requirements.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with C, C++, and Python
  .
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) from an accredited institution, and 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as Green Hills INTEGRITY or VxWorks.
• Understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Prior experience interpreting, designing, and implementing software from formal requirements.
• Experience with software-hardware integration in embedded or real-time systems.
