** Principle duties and responsibilities
** The position will involve working in the Research & Development team for ADTRAN, Oscilloquartz team in Raanana.

Engineer R&D Software will be an active part of software projects, i.e. do software design, software implementation / coding, unit testing and integration testing. Demonstrated ability to work as part pf existing SW team.  Read System documents, Participate in design reviews.
• Work with R&D supplementary tools.
• Using test equipment.
• Other duties as required.
** Qualifications, Skills*
* • Experience of 3-5 years, preferred in the telecom industry.
• C/C++ mandatory
• Understand product architecture, design, processes, tools, etc.
• Knowledge/Experience with OOD - an advantage.
• Linux knowledge - an advantage.
• Familiarity/

Experience with L3/communication protocols - an advantage. Fast Learner.
• Independent.
• Good communication/interpersonal skills
** Success Criteria:
** Desired leadership, personality and work styles.  - Ability to plan workload.  - Reliable implementation with on time delivery.  - Quasi autonomy in the implementation.  - Ability to produce design and test documents along with the implementation.  - Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team.  - Good knowledge of serial bus protocols  - Able to analyze TCP/IP protocols (SNMP, SNTP, NTP)  - Mathlab
