Senior Software Engineer

Description

SAIC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support their program in Huntsville, AL .

• Creating, developing, documenting, testing, and troubleshooting application software.
• Performing analysis and working with subject matter experts to plan, design, develop, and implement electronic data processing systems for storing, processing, presenting, manipulating, displaying, or reporting information.
• Assessing user requirements for computing solutions.
• Evaluating system functionalities to address issues related to program goals, output specifications, input data processes, programming methods, and controls.
• Developing operational guidelines.
• Designing and building standalone services, desktop applications, web-based solutions, scripts, and utility tools.
• Ensuring compliance with established software development standards.

• Bachelor's degree and fourteen (14) years’ experience; additional four (4) years’ experience can be considered in lieu of degree.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret security clearance; must be awarded interim within 30 days of start; US Citizenship required.

• Expert in real-time computer simulation/graphics.
• Strong experience in simulator development using virtual reality simulation applications.
