Overview

Electrician – Martin Marietta – Huntsville, AL

We are seeking a safety‑conscious, dependable Electrician to maintain, troubleshoot, and develop electrical process control instrumentation under the supervision of the Site Supervisor. The role requires travel between the quarry and other locations and includes weekend and overtime as necessary.

Responsibilities

Coordinate all in‑house electrical repairs and upgrades, including plant controls for mining operations.
Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC motor controls and drives.
Research and implement automation upgrades and fine‑tune existing plant systems to improve safety, efficiency, capacity, consistency, availability, and reporting.
Collaborate closely with the engineering group and contracted vendors to meet deadlines and complete capital improvement projects.
Support the corporate safety culture and perform duties in compliance with all safety rules and regulations.
Ensure that all employees follow established safety policies and procedures.
Troubleshoot and repair all electrical wiring, appliances, fixtures, and machinery problems.
Detect, diagnose, and repair failing components to improve and maintain equipment reliability.
Aid in the training of co‑workers as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

Two (2) year technical degree in electrical technology or completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
Certified/ licensed Electrician (preferred).
One (1) year experience in aggregate/mining or similar industry (preferred).
Experience with PLCs and industrial troubleshooting (preferred).
