About Our Department:
Landscape Management’s goal is to improve standards of grounds care on all public space within the City of Huntsville. Landscape Management maintains the grounds in city parks, sports facilities, and rights‑of‑way, while promoting the highest quality of trained technicians and professionals in the fields of Turf Management, Urban Forestry, Horticulture, Irrigation, Litter Management and Herbicide Application.
Landscape Management Department Works (4) - 10 Hour
Shifts:
Monday – Thursday 6a – 4p or Tuesday – Friday 6a – 4p.
This is lead manual work and participation in the installation, maintenance, and renovation of landscape on public properties. The role involves leading a small crew of helpers and performing a variety of landscape tasks.
Qualifications andSpecial Requirements
- Some experience in performing manual work and leading a small crew of workers; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- A Commercial Driver’s License, Class B, is desired.
