Huntsville, AL (North Alabama operations area)
Salary: $51,649–$77,474 per year (base only).
Job Details- Wages start at $27 per hour, with higher rates for verifiable experience.
- Full‑time, permanent position.
- Day shift; weekend and night shift work may be required.
- Overtime available along with extensive medical, dental, vision, 401(k), disability, and other benefits.
- Operate asphalt paving screed as directed by the working foreman and superintendent.
- Perform operation and maintenance of equipment with high competency and proficiency in challenging terrain.
- Carry out daily pre‑ and post‑inspection of equipment with documentation in compliance with company policies.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA/environmental regulations for safe work practices.
- Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of screed operator experience.
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and nights when necessary.
- Team player with a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather, heat, humidity, dust, and asphalt exposure.
- Safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment of various sizes used in road, site, and highway construction.
- Ability to follow company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe work practices.
- Follow supervisor directions for daily tasks and project expectations.
- Perform general labor duties when necessary and other duties as assigned.
