Overview
The purpose of this position is to ensure the accurate and timely completion of USSRC Facility Maintenance work tasks. The main responsibility will be General Maintenance, with occasional assistance in other maintenance department items.
Responsibilities- Ensure the accurate and timely repair, modification, and installation of facility infrastructure items such as plumbing, carpentry, masonry, sheetrock, electrical, painting, and mechanical systems for the USSRC facility.
- Systematically inspect all USSRC facility infrastructure and equipment to maintain effective and efficient levels of appearance, operation, and safety.
- Finish maintenance requests and log tracking of tasks using the FMX system software to meet or exceed the Building Maintenance Manager’s expectations.
- Set up temporary facilities for USSRC promotional and special events accurately and promptly.

Qualifications- HS completion or GED supplemented by a 2‑year degree or 2 years of additional specialized training.
- Walking, climbing, twisting of body, and crawling under buildings, in attics, and in small spaces for extended periods while conducting inspections.
- Carry, lift equipment and supplies up to 50 lb waist high.
- Bend, kneel, reach to store/retrieve supplies, inspect and repair equipment and buildings.
- Use a variety of tools and equipment such as jackhammer, floor saws, sewer machines, circular saws, shovels, and occasionally heavy machinery (bobcat, backhoe, trencher, JLG).
- Maintain adequate talking, hearing, and sight capabilities to communicate with supervisor and team members.
- Work outside in all temperatures and conditions and in noisy, dusty climates inside the building.
- Handle occupational hazards associated with building trade equipment.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- 4 years of experience in facilities and equipment maintenance, including experience in electrical or refrigeration work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to use building trade tools, equipment, and materials.
- Familiarity with standard practices, methods, occupational hazards, and safety precautions of the building trade.
Monday – Friday, normal business hours as determined by the Manager of Facilities. Additional on‑call support may be required after training is complete.
