A growing Building Automation & HVAC controls group is seeking a skilled BAS Controls Technician to support projects throughout the Huntsville area. This role provides hands‑on work with DDC controls, HVAC automation, and energy management systems in commercial buildings, high‑tech manufacturing facilities, and government environments.

Position Details- Title: BAS Controls Technician
- Location: Huntsville, AL (local travel to customer facilities)
- Employment Type: Full‑Time
- Hourly Rate: $38.00 – $52.00/hr (DOE)
- Overtime: Available

- Install, commission, and troubleshoot BAS/DDC control systems for HVAC equipment
- Perform functional testing, point‑to‑point checkout, and equipment start‑up
- Diagnose communication, programming, or hardware‑related BAS problems
- Load, edit, and verify control programs and graphics
- Install sensors, controllers, actuators, relays, and low‑voltage wiring
- Work with facility teams to resolve comfort, scheduling, and performance issues
- Document work performed, system changes, and testing results accurately
- 3+ years of field experience with BAS/DDC or HVAC controls
- Background with Tridium, Distech, Johnson Controls, Siemens, or similar BAS platforms
- Strong knowledge of HVAC equipment operations and control sequences
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, plans, and control submittals
- Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, or Lon Works communication protocols
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills
- Comfortable working independently in secure or high‑tech environments
