Overview

Pinnacle Home Improvements, one of the largest home improvement companies in the southeast, is looking to add to our management team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right person who will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence and driving business! We are seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts over both our Huntsville and Birmingham markets. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the methodology of home improvement sales with hands‑on experience in recruiting, hiring, training, and retaining a highly motivated Sales Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining manpower levels and the expansion of revenue levels.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for hiring, training, and performance management of 5‑10 Sales Reps
  • Assist GM in commission tracking and calculation
  • Perform field training with Sales Reps: ride along, presentation coaching, etc.
  • Analyze sales performance data, both operational metrics and profitability metrics, to determine areas for improvement and deliver performance management plans
  • Serve as sales knowledge expert on the product line and financing options
  • Attend weekly meetings with local Sales Representatives at each market office
  • Additional market responsibility as assigned
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company objectives within the assigned region
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with your Sales Teams
  • Conduct sales presentations to showcase the features and benefits of our Selling System
Experience
  • 3+ years of proven ability to manage and grow a sales team; in‑home, consultative sales preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of and/or the ability to learn all Pinnacle product offerings
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and sales skills
  • Experience using iPad and other technology
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software, Google Docs, as well as analysis software
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to work weekends
  • CRM software experience, Lead Perfection preferred
  • Proven experience in sales management within the Home Improvement Industry
  • Excellent sales skills with the ability to close decision‑makers effectively
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to travel between Birmingham & Huntsville offices, as well as customer sites within the market, 80% same‑day travel. Up to 20% overnight travel may be required
  • Must reside near assigned sales market area
  • Prolonged periods sitting while driving
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
  • Weekend hours required
