Job Title: Sales Associate

Location: Huntsville, AL

Salary: $9.00 - $9.00 per hour

Department: Retail

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports To: Store Manager

Summary

The Sales Associate is responsible for providing quality customer service and driving product sales. They are knowledgeable in each product area, uphold policies and procedures, promote every sale or promotion, and serve as an ambassador of the organization and brand. The role focuses on creating a unique customer experience that helps acquire and retain long‑time customers and promotes merchandise in stores.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide extraordinary customer service highlighted in the customer service manual, including greeting customers as they enter the store and assisting multiple customers during peak periods.
  • Promote and sell services and merchandise offered by the organization.
  • Set and track goals to grow and improve selling skills and overall sales.
  • Practice and uphold all company policies, procedures, and standards as listed in the operations policy manual, personnel policy manual, visual manual, customer service manual, and related memos.
  • Assist in daily store operations, including completing work lists, cleaning lists, weekly shipments, and store maintenance.
  • Use presentation techniques from the product knowledge manual to promote and sell goods.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed sales targets and goals.
  • Identify and communicate merchandise needs, pricing concerns, and operational problems to store management.
  • Attend all staff meetings and tech clinics.
  • Protect the company’s assets and financial information by ensuring accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures and reporting potential fraud risks.
Supervisory Responsibilities Qualifications
  • 0–2 years of customer service experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Self‑starter with initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with precision.
  • Team‑player, passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.
