Lead Quality Inspector – Defense Systems Platform Integration Facility

Leidos seeks a Lead Quality Inspector to lead inspectors and support the manufacturing floor. The role verifies electro‑mechanical parts and assembled hardware meet drawings/specifications, assists in documentation, and maintains non‑conformance tracking.

• Coordinate inspection activities to support multiple concurrent programs.
• Read prints and understand assembly instructions.
• Document non‑conformance and investigate root causes.

• High School Diploma/GED with at least 5 years of experience in an ISO
  9001/AS9100 environment or equivalent in DOD, aerospace, or automotive manufacturing quality control.
• Experience working with non‑conforming material, performing failure analysis, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
• Proficient with standard measurement equipment (micrometers, calipers, multi‑meters, etc.).
• Ability to execute inspections, witness acceptance testing, and generate test reports.
• Experience reading and interpreting drawings, assembly schematics, and specifications and preparing inspection reports.
• Generate quality documentation including inspection reports, bubble prints, C of C’s, and NCR’s.
• Effective communication within a team environment.
• Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing.
• Review work instructions for accuracy and completeness and implement AS9100 QMS documentation.
• Perform in a collaborative environment with cross‑disciplinary teams.
• U.S. Citizen with a Final Secret Clearance or eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

• Inspection of complex aerospace hardware, non‑conforming material, and Material Review Board experience.
• Experience with ISO
  9001/AS9100 quality systems, AS5553 counterfeit prevention, and AS9102 first‑article inspection.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
