Rn Perioperative Trainee Shift Varies

** SIGN ON BONUS FOR QUALIFYING CANDIDATES**

Full-Time student of a specialized internal training program. The Perioperative RN Trainee participates in a 6-month formal education program developed by AORN to train RNs to practice as surgery circulators in the Operating Room (OR). The program prepares students to identify patient needs, prioritize care, and execute therapeutic physician orders and nursing interventions during surgery. The RN evaluates patient responses and progress towards expected outcomes, being accountable for patient care outcomes during their shift.

Note:

This position requires constant walking and standing, with twisting, bending, and lifting. Carrying, pushing, and pulling 20 to 50 lbs may be required.

Education:

Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing with current Alabama Licensure.

Experience:

Experience preferred; new graduates accepted. For Huntsville Health System, no written warnings or suspensions within the past year.

Additional Skills/Abilities:

BLS certification required before the end of the orientation period.
