The CRNA cares for patients at all acuity levels across the lifespan in a variety of settings for procedures including, but not limited to, surgical, obstetric, diagnostic, therapeutic, and pain management.
Key Responsibilities & Opportunities- Cover 133 anesthetizing locations across Huntsville Hospital Health System.
- Opportunities available in pediatrics, obstetrics, orthopedics, cardiovascular care, and more.
- Option to rotate throughout affiliate facilities:
Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children, Decatur Morgan Hospital, Athens‑Limestone Hospital, Athens‑Limestone Surgery Center, Madison Hospital, and Madison Hospital Outpatient Endoscopy. - Join voluntary call teams at Huntsville Hospital, Cardiovascular Operating Room, and age 3+ call plus Pediatrics at Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children.
- Sign‑On Bonus: $75,000 (three‑year commitment).
- Premium pay for weekends and extra shifts.
- Relocation assistance (required to live >75 miles from Huntsville Hospital campus).
- Voluntary Call: earn up to $25,000 additional annual salary plus premium call‑back pay.
- Annual Retention Bonus.
- Decision‑making autonomy and optimal work‑life balance.
- Current active state licensure as a registered nurse in Alabama or a compact state RN license.
- Graduate of a nurse anesthesia program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (or predecessor).
- Current certification or recertification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists.
- Demonstrated competency in the clinical responsibilities specified below.
- ACLS, BLS, PALS certification (American Heart Association).
- Ability to work clinically as a CRNA in the facility setting on a regular basis.
- Proficiency with anesthesia equipment and peri‑operative care.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with clinical staff.
- Knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan.
- Infection prevention and control skills.
- Maintenance of confidential records and adherence to facility policies.
