RN Outpatient - Chemo Infusion Center - FT - 1st Shift

Join Huntsville Hospital as an RN in the Outpatient Chemo Infusion Center. The RN maintains established standards of care, policies, objectives, and goals in administering professional nursing care. The RN identifies patient needs and priorities for care through assessment, plans and delegates care based on patient needs, and evaluates the patient’s response to care and progress toward expected outcomes. The RN is accountable for outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned shift.

• Provide professional nursing care to patients in the outpatient chemo infusion center in alignment with standards and care plans.
• Assess patient needs, develop care plans, delegate tasks, and evaluate patient responses and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and hospital policies and participate in continuous quality improvement.

• Education required: Graduate of state board School of Nursing.
• License, certification and/or registration: Current Alabama or Multi-state Nursing License required. BLS for Healthcare Providers must be obtained in the orientation period. ACLS, PALS, or NRP is required for critical care areas based on patient population.
• Experience: Experience preferred; new graduates accepted.
• Additional skills/abilities: Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, with prioritization and task shifting as needed. Department-specific competencies must be completed within the provisional period.
