LPN - Main Emergency Room Shift Varies

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) performs a broad array of nursing tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse or provider. The individual provides direct patient care for diverse patient populations that vary in gender, age, socioeconomic status, education, physical and mental abilities, locations, sexual lifestyle, and racial and ethnic backgrounds. The LPN implements technical nursing procedures according to established policies, procedures, and care plans, assists with and reinforces routine patient education, and documents patient care appropriately.

The LPN communicates and interacts with other team members to facilitate teamwork and the delivery of quality care.

Education: Graduate of a State board School of Practical Nursing with current Alabama or multi-state licensure.

Experience: Open to experienced or new graduates.

Additional Skills/Abilities: BLS certification required before the conclusion of the orientation period.
