**** Summary
* * The
** Repair Technician IV
** performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies.
** Position Responsibilities
*** Primary responsibility is to repair Small Unmanned Arial System products in our SUAS manufacturing facility following released engineering drawings and assembly instructions using our work order system
* Assembly and Disassembly of various Line Replaceable Units (LRU)
* Mechanical assembly of subassemblies using hand and/or power tools
* Final assembly of ground control equipment and air vehicles
* Testing and troubleshooting of subassemblies and final assemblies
* Soldering is one of the duties performed in this role
* Works with other Repair Technicians and Engineering to correct and improve upon any documents related to the assembly process at the required high quality standard
* Working with manufacturing engineers to improve assembly efficiency, improve product quality, reduce manufacturing costs and validate released assembly/ fabrication documentation
* Responsible for ensuring that work order protocols are followed and that work order paperwork is completed as the work is performed
* May also train other technicians to build a product or follow an established assembly process
* May conduct in-process quality checks to ensure that items built are to established high quality standards
* Determines methods and procedures on new assignments. May be an informal team leader

** Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
*** High School diploma or GED equivalent
* Minimum of 4 – 6 years' experience in a manufacturing or production environment in either electronics or electro-mechanical assembly and test is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
* Experienced in working on Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and Ground Control Stations (GCSs)
* Experienced using hand tools, including crimpers, drills, taps, torque wrenches, power tools and air tools is required
* Experienced interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
* Must have basic computer operation skills
** Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies
*** Vocational training in Electronics and/or Solder Certification is desired
* Soldering experiences of all types according to IPC standards in connection with the above described duties (Desired)
* Ability to read blueprints and schematics is desired
* Familiarity with Safety and ESD practices is preferred
* Versed in Lean Manufacturing methodologies is preferred
* Work effectively with engineering on new product development efforts where documentation and assembly instructions are not yet finalized
* Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative. Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solution
* Must have good oral and written communication skills and effectively communicate with employees in the Company
* Able to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, where small teams share a broad variety of duties
* Displays strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet company objectives
* Takes ownership and responsibility for current and past work products
