The Machine Operator I plays a critical role in the non-durable goods manufacturing process by efficiently operating and monitoring production machinery to ensure consistent product quality and output. This position requires close attention to detail to detect and resolve minor mechanical issues, minimizing downtime and maintaining smooth production flow. The operator will collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Additionally, the role involves performing routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to prolong machine life and prevent malfunctions. Ultimately, the Machine Operator I contributes to the overall success of the manufacturing operation by supporting efficient, safe, and high-quality production activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate manufacturing machinery.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines.
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Willingness to work in shifts and adapt to production schedules.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Familiarity with non-durable goods production processes.
- Basic knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor assigned machinery to produce non-durable goods according to established specifications and schedules.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks on equipment to ensure optimal functioning and prevent breakdowns.
- Identify and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues, escalating complex problems to maintenance personnel as needed.
- Maintain accurate production records, including output quantities, machine settings, and any incidents or adjustments.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and quality control procedures to maintain a safe working environment and product standards.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and implement process improvements.
- Clean and prepare machines before and after shifts to ensure hygiene and operational readiness.
