Deputy Program Manager – Persistent Surveillance Division

Leidos seeks a highly organized, detail‑oriented deputy program manager to support the Persistent Surveillance Portfolio. The role requires strong leadership, communication and organizational abilities and experience leading engineering teams.

• Assist the Program Manager in day‑to‑day management of the program.
• Coordinate and oversee project activities ensuring alignment with program goals.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets and resource allocation plans.
• Monitor program performance and implement corrective actions to ensure success.
• Act as primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including DoD clients, subcontractors and team members.
• Support development and execution of risk management plans.
• Prepare and present program status reports and briefings to senior management and DoD clients.
• Ensure compliance with DoD regulations, policies and procedures.
• Foster a collaborative and productive work environment within the program team.

• 8–12 years of experience in the defense industry and a bachelor’s degree.
• Active Secret security clearance.
• Proven experience in production and fielding of test support equipment development and operations and maintenance.
• Strong technical background with knowledge of engineering and manufacturing principles.
• Excellent project management skills with ability to manage complex projects, multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Strong leadership skills to motivate and manage a diverse team of professionals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in risk management and ability to assess and mitigate potential risks.
• Experience working with government contracts and regulations.
• Resident of Huntsville, AL or willingness to relocate to the Huntsville area.

• Experience working on a radar program.
• Deep understanding of defense acquisition process.
• Background in engineering.
