Deputy Program Manager – Persistent Surveillance Division
Leidos seeks a highly organized, detail‑oriented deputy program manager to support the Persistent Surveillance Portfolio. The role requires strong leadership, communication and organizational abilities and experience leading engineering teams.
Primary Responsibilities- Assist the Program Manager in day‑to‑day management of the program.
- Coordinate and oversee project activities ensuring alignment with program goals.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets and resource allocation plans.
- Monitor program performance and implement corrective actions to ensure success.
- Act as primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including DoD clients, subcontractors and team members.
- Support development and execution of risk management plans.
- Prepare and present program status reports and briefings to senior management and DoD clients.
- Ensure compliance with DoD regulations, policies and procedures.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment within the program team.
- 8–12 years of experience in the defense industry and a bachelor’s degree.
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Proven experience in production and fielding of test support equipment development and operations and maintenance.
- Strong technical background with knowledge of engineering and manufacturing principles.
- Excellent project management skills with ability to manage complex projects, multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Strong leadership skills to motivate and manage a diverse team of professionals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in risk management and ability to assess and mitigate potential risks.
- Experience working with government contracts and regulations.
- Resident of Huntsville, AL or willingness to relocate to the Huntsville area.
- Experience working on a radar program.
- Deep understanding of defense acquisition process.
- Background in engineering.
