Your JobJoin our team as an Area General Manager (AGM) and lead Corrugated Packaging operations in Cleveland, TN and Huntsville, AL. You will have overall responsibility for success and profitability of the plants you support, and will work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams to drive growth, customer value, and operational excellence. Reporting to the VP of Packaging, you will directly lead operations, sales and customer service teams across two facilities.
LocationMust live within 45 minutes of Cleveland, TN or Huntsville, AL. Frequent travel (50%+) is required to build relationships, address operational needs and ensure quality and timeliness.
Our TeamAs a dynamic and experienced leader you will oversee overall commercialization and operations as the P&L owner of our corrugated packaging team. This role offers significant opportunity to impact and lead a team that values winning together.
What You Will Do Area Leadership- Champion a people‑first and customer‑first culture.
- Ensure site operations focus relentlessly on safety, reliability and quality.
- Oversee commercial activities, including financial budgets and direct client interactions.
- Lead and develop a high‑performing team, including the Director of Operations, Sales Manager, Customer Service Manager and their teams.
- Foster a culture of performance excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Implement new technologies to enhance manufacturing processes and quality control.
- Define the commercial and operational vision, strategy and organizational direction.
- Lead strategic initiatives aligned with market focus to foster innovation and sustainable growth.
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities for profitable growth.
- Coordinate with operations and other departments to achieve business goals.
- Strengthen existing customer relationships and pursue new, profitable opportunities.
- Enhance collaboration by building internal relationships.
- Cultivate a high‑performance culture centered on teamwork and shared success.
- Manage financial budgets (P&L) across two sites and improve profitability.
- Analyze market trends, pricing, forecasting and budgeting using financial acumen.
- Ensure compliance with governmental regulations, industry standards and GP best practices.
- Promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Experience in manufacturing with at least 5 years in a managerial role in sales or operations.
- Proven track record in talent development and team growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Proficiency in managing profit and loss (P&L) statements.
- Experience with in the corrugated or related packaging industry.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a strategic mindset and success in driving organizational change.
