Calibration Technician

Description

Leidos Defense Sector is hiring for a calibration technician. The Calibration Technician will coordinate and oversee tools and equipment, verify ESD workstations and solder stations, and install and test a variety of calibration and ESD related equipment such as measurement and test tools, assembly tools, ground blocks, wrist strap detectors, ESD workstation, dissipative mat material and flooring. Equipment will be labeled correctly, records maintained, calibration kept current and NIST‑approved, and documents and certificates entered into an online tracking tool.

Various test equipment such as multimeters, constant monitor testers, and multiple resistance test kits will be used.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as required. Ensure accurate record keeping, verification of calibration status, and correct labeling of all tools and equipment.

Requires a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent plus two (2) years of applicable measurement and test equipment or other equipment maintenance experience. Should have excellent written, verbal, communication, interpersonal, organizational, electrical, mechanical, and analytical skills. Must have effective multitasking skills and the ability to assume additional responsibilities as required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry is required. Able to lift 35 lbs.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville – North Alabama, AL area. Relocation is not offered for this position. Ability to be mobile for most of the workday.
