Senior Network Engineer

Overview

ASRC Federal System Solutions, LLC (AFSS), a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. AFSS is seeking a Network Engineer to support the Space Development Agency’s (SDA), Advanced Fire Control Ground Infrastructure (AFCGI), Demonstration Operations Center (DOC) program located on Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.

• Assist the DOC Manager.
• Perform networking and DOC tasks and projects.
• Assist and/or lead networking support for integration and test activities with mission partners throughout AFCGI interface development, integration, and test activities.
• Maintain technical expertise in network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, proxies, load balancing).
• Participate in Networking and DOC related discussions in coordination with the internal cross-functional team.
• Assist and/or lead the management and maintenance of server racks hosting AFCGI equipment.
• Assist and/or lead inventory management and tracking of server racks and AFCGI equipment.
• Prepare appropriate network documentation, including operational instructions.
• Manage and integrate activities in accordance with contract requirements.
• Use standard, well-defined processes, procedures, techniques, and tools to complete tasks.
• Manage performance requirements to the program baseline.
• Manage risk and customer relationships.

• Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of experience or equivalent.
• The ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance and SCI-eligible.
• Active Security+ Certification.
• C2 and Information Systems management experience in support of the Department of Defense.
• Operations Centers in support of the Department of Defense.
• Ability to mentor and provide leadership.

• CCNA Certification.
• Experience with processes and procedures for reporting, handling and storage of COMSEC.
• Experience leading and/or supporting operations or ground system support for SDA missions.
• Technical writing skills for generating SOPs, analyses and reports.
• Experience planning and conducting Network testing.
• Experience planning and conducting Operations and Maintenance.
• Experience planning and conducting Training.
