Overview
ASRC Federal System Solutions, LLC (AFSS), a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. AFSS is seeking a Network Engineer to support the Space Development Agency’s (SDA), Advanced Fire Control Ground Infrastructure (AFCGI), Demonstration Operations Center (DOC) program located on Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.
Responsibilities- Assist the DOC Manager.
- Perform networking and DOC tasks and projects.
- Assist and/or lead networking support for integration and test activities with mission partners throughout AFCGI interface development, integration, and test activities.
- Maintain technical expertise in network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, proxies, load balancing).
- Participate in Networking and DOC related discussions in coordination with the internal cross-functional team.
- Assist and/or lead the management and maintenance of server racks hosting AFCGI equipment.
- Assist and/or lead inventory management and tracking of server racks and AFCGI equipment.
- Prepare appropriate network documentation, including operational instructions.
- Manage and integrate activities in accordance with contract requirements.
- Use standard, well-defined processes, procedures, techniques, and tools to complete tasks.
- Manage performance requirements to the program baseline.
- Manage risk and customer relationships.
- Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of experience or equivalent.
- The ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance and SCI-eligible.
- Active Security+ Certification.
- C2 and Information Systems management experience in support of the Department of Defense.
- Operations Centers in support of the Department of Defense.
- Ability to mentor and provide leadership.
- CCNA Certification.
- Experience with processes and procedures for reporting, handling and storage of COMSEC.
- Experience leading and/or supporting operations or ground system support for SDA missions.
- Technical writing skills for generating SOPs, analyses and reports.
- Experience planning and conducting Network testing.
- Experience planning and conducting Operations and Maintenance.
- Experience planning and conducting Training.
