POSITION: Counterintelligence Technician
LOCATION: Huntsville, Alabama
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: May be required to travel
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No
Specific Duties Associated With This Position- Identify and assess potential threat information, recommend mitigation efforts, and incorporate findings into formal reports
- Conduct analysis in support of operational activities to assemble, correlate, evaluate, and assess information concerning counterintelligence and intelligence threats against personnel, programs, information systems, and/or facilities
- Analyze information received to identify intelligence gaps and specify collection requirements to answer these gaps via appropriate collection means
- Support counterintelligence and intelligence inquiries under the direction of the counterintelligence team lead
- When appropriate, prepare intelligence information reports
- Conduct counterintelligence briefings to personnel as required
- Plan, conduct, and support TEMPEST assessments and evaluations to identify and mitigate compromising emanations in accordance with applicable DoD and IC standards
- Assist in the implementation of TEMPEST countermeasures and provide technical recommendations to protect classified and sensitive information
- Works independently and/or leads sub-teams to analyze and resolve problems
- Aplies oral and written communication skills
- Able to provide expertise and hands-on experience within Counterintelligence Technical Surveillance and Countermeasures (TSCM)
- Demonstrated experience supporting TEMPEST operations, assessments, or compliance activities
- Able to apply analytical principles and practices
- Researches and conducts TSCM investigations and operations for test events, conferences, facilities, deployment activities, and exercises
- Familiarity with TEMPEST-related policies, standards, and mitigation techniques
- Strong familiarity with DoD Instruction 5240.05 and CI Division Standard Operating Procedures
- Must be formally trained and certified to USD/I approved standards pursuant to DoD Directive 5240.02
- Interagency Training Center (ITC) certified
- A minimum of (10) years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program/project
- Must have Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
- Experience supporting or coordinating TEMPEST accreditation, inspections, or compliance efforts
- Experience providing intelligence analysis support to vetting and/or research, development, and acquisitions
