The Senior Consultant II will provide expert, independent services and leadership in specialized technical areas for problem definition, analysis, and requirements development and implementation of complex defense systems related to detecting and defeating various threats.

• Analyze existing systems and provide recommendations and advice on system improvements, optimization, and maintenance.
• Stay current with related technology and technical programs in the area of interest to ensure the most effective solutions are developed and implemented.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define problems, develop solutions, and implement improvements.
• Communicate findings, recommendations, and progress effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through verbal and written means.
• Work independently or under general direction to deliver high-quality results within project timelines and budgets.

Perform other duties as assigned

• Bachelor's degree in any field, preferably a Master's degree
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in providing expert technical consulting services in the area of defense systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex systems, define problems, and develop and implement solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or under general direction.

• Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment

• Must possess and maintain an active DoD Secret security clearance

• Must be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
• Most positions require ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and providing recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format.
• May be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 15 pounds.
