Summit 7 is seeking a Training & Development Specialist to build and execute learning programs that support growth across the organization. This role will collaborate closely with the VP of Human Resources and cross‑functional leaders to assess training needs, develop content, and support employee development at all levels. The Specialist will manage and continuously improve the organization’s learning systems, ensure programs align with business goals and compliance requirements, and help employees and leaders strengthen the skills that drive performance.
DutiesAnd Responsibilities Program Design & Facilitation
- Conduct assessments to identify skill gaps and training needs through surveys, interviews, or consultation with managers.
- Collaborate with leadership to align learning initiatives with growth priorities.
- Design, develop, and implement engaging and effective training programs aligned to organizational needs and goals, incorporating a variety of training methodologies, techniques, concepts, and learning tools.
- Create and maintain training materials using Articulate 360, Office 365, and in‑house LMS authoring tools.
- Facilitate training sessions using varied methodologies to accommodate different learning styles.
- Manage and maintain the organization’s Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver online training.
- Track employee development and training completion via LMS metrics.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure organizational compliance with industry‑specific certification requirements, and support employees in maintaining up‑to‑date credentials.
- Analyze trends and metrics for assigned areas of responsibility, develop solutions, and prepare information for presentation of data to key leaders and stakeholders.
- Connect training progress to performance discussions and career path planning, helping employees identify growth opportunities.
- Enhance role‑specific onboarding by aligning training resources to key milestones and reducing time‑to‑productivity in each role.
- Must maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
- US citizen with ability to pass extensive background check.
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field (preferred).
- 3‑5 years of relevant experience in training program development, LMS management, or instructional technology.
- Advanced certifications like CPLP or CPTD preferred, or strong interest in pursuing them.
- Experience applying instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE) to build effective classroom and e‑learning programs.
- Strong technical aptitude with ability to learn new systems quickly and apply them in a training context.
- Proficiency in LMS and e‑learning platforms, and ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, managing multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
- Ability to analyze data and evaluate effectiveness of training programs.
- Creative and strategic thinking abilities to design innovative training programs that meet organizational needs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate and facilitate training sessions for diverse audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Proactive team player, taking ownership of tasks while seeking direction when needed.
- Learning Management Systems (e.g., Paycor, KnowBe4);
SharePoint familiarity is a plus. - Articulate 360 and Microsoft PowerPoint for course creation and content delivery.
- Office 365 for documentation, communication, and collaboration.
- Adobe Creative Suite (optional, for visual and design support).
