Program Management Specialist — Huntsville, AL
The Program Management Specialist will be responsible for providing project coordination, documentation support, and schedule tracking to ensure projects align with business objectives, security frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities- Provide project coordination, documentation support, and schedule tracking to ensure the project aligns with business objectives, goals, and requirements.
- Lead, develop, coordinate, integrate, analyze, and maintain integrated plans and schedules in accordance with contract requirements.
- Analyze, update, develop, and process program documentation.
- Establish and control technical milestones, schedules, budgets, and costs.
- Lead studies/analysis (trend, variance, impact), reports, risk assessments, and planning to determine impacts and constraints involving the project.
- Identify risk and opportunities, develop mitigation planning, and refine the business case.
- Develop and establish lead time requirements.
- Facilitate and ensure integration of project/program plan, schedules, change and baseline management, processes, and best-practice techniques.
- Coordinate commitments with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill strategies.
- Ensure projects comply with relevant cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, FISMA, RMF) and regulatory requirements, mitigating potential risks and vulnerabilities.
- Help drive initiatives to modernize and automate cybersecurity processes, tools, and documentation.
- Coordinate with Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager to plan, initiate, manage IT projects, and lead and manage cross-functional teams of cybersecurity professionals, providing guidance and mentoring.
- Work with leadership to establish and track OKRs and KPIs to ensure achievement of performance requirements.
- Support technical documentation, reports, and other deliverables as needed; support dashboard management and updates.
- Assist with developing, managing, coordinating, and presenting informational products, including monthly PMRs and weekly senior management meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, IT, or business-related programs.
- 6+ years of experience in project and program coordination, including at least 3+ years managing project coordination support for large-scale cybersecurity projects and programs that include on-premises and cloud-based implementations.
- Experience managing contracts with multiple subcontractors.
- 3+ years of DoD experience.
- Program Management Certification (PMP) desired and must be obtained within 6 months of start.
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
Skills And Abilities
- Experience with data visualization and Power BI.
- Experience with risk, issues, and opportunities in project planning.
- Experience in systems design, analysis, or integration.
- Ability to interpret data and present analysis and recommendations to management.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to develop, document, or implement new processes.
- Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and leadership skills to coordinate teams and communicate with stakeholders.
- Familiarity with SIEM, firewalls, VPNs, data encryption, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and endpoint protection.
- Effective time management and organizational skills; ability to work independently and in a team.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% and meet minimum clearance requirements.
