IT Project Manager

Position OverviewCimarron is seeking an IT Project Manager to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at the Redstone Arsenal in the Huntsville, AL area.
Key Duties- Plan, execute, and close IT projects on time, within scope, and on budget, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Lead cross‑functional and geographically dispersed teams, facilitating meetings, managing risks, and tracking performance.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, and documentation; ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
- Communicate status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, managing expectations and maintaining strong relationships.
- Utilize project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and contribute to process improvements.
- Oversee project closure activities, including documentation, lessons learned, and knowledge transfer.
- U.S. citizenship (facility security requirements).
- Valid, unexpired Real –compliant driver's license or state‑issued .
- Pre‑employment background check and drug screening (including marijuana).
- Active Secret Clearance (or higher).
- Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate project teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time‑management skills.
- 5+ years of direct IT project management experience, including high‑budget projects delivered on time and budget.
- General understanding of IT infrastructure, software development, and emerging technologies.
- Experience identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks.
- Skilled in negotiating with vendors and stakeholders.
- Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- ITIL certification.
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and as a Cost Account Manager (CAM).
- Proven experience managing high‑value projects of varying complexity.
- Experience leading geographically dispersed teams.
- Experience managing projects using traditional Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies.
