Job Description At the intersection of national security and high-performance computing, COLSA Corporation looks for a Linux Systems Administrator who thrives on complexity. You won’t just be patching servers; you’ll be the architect of the infrastructure supporting our most critical missions. From tuning HPC clusters to orchestrating secure containerized environments, your work ensures that our data stays fast, fluid, and impenetrable.
- Architect and Deploy:
Drive the secure deployment and lifecycle management of Linux workstations, enterprise servers, and HPC clusters. - Control File systems:
Efficiently administer local and remote file systems, ensuring data integrity and high-speed access across the network. - Automate Everything:
Eliminate manual toil by developing sophisticated automation scripts using Shell and Python. - Hardened Security:
Implement and manage robust security layers, including advanced firewall configurations and fine‑tuned SELinux policies. - Orchestrate at Scale:
Drive system consistency and rapid deployment using Ansible for configuration management and automation. - Containerization:
Modernize workflows by deploying and managing containerized environments using Docker, Podman, and Apptainer. - HPC Optimization:
Maintain and push the performance limits of HPC clusters utilizing industry‑leading tools like Bright, Slurm, and xCAT. - Network Engineering:
Configure and optimize Linux networking services to ensure seamless, high‑bandwidth connectivity. - Technical Documentation:
Author and maintain high‑fidelity documentation for system configurations, operational playbooks, and strategic plans.
This position is 100% on‑site.

Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 to 12 years of related experience.
- Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Must be able to pass the CI polygraph within 180 days of hire.
- CompTIA Security+ CE, ISC2 SSCP, or equivalent baseline security certification.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility and maintain program accesses as required.
- Extensive professional experience in Linux system administration (RHEL preferred).
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve intricate hardware and software bottlenecks under pressure.
- Knowledge of security best practices for Linux environments.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a methodical approach to complex systems challenges.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- U.S. Citizenship Required.
- Active TS//SCI clearance with a current CI Scope Polygraph.
- RHCSA, Linux+, or equivalent certification.
- Experience with automation tools (Ansible, shell scripting, Python, etc.).
- Familiarity with container technologies like Docker, Podman, and Apptainer.
- Experience managing HPC clusters using Bright, Slurm, and/or xCAT.
- Strong networking experience in Linux environments.
- Cross‑OS administration experience with Windows.
- Virtualization experience with VMWare or Nutanix.
