ISP Technician – TEKsystems

Location: Huntsville, AL (remote opportunity available)

Contract-to-hire Level 1 Help Desk Technician providing first‑line support to end‑users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and escalating more complex problems as needed.

• Respond to a high volume of initial IT support requests via phone, email, or chat (password resets, software installations, hardware troubleshooting).
• Diagnose and resolve basic hardware and software issues, including OS problems, connectivity issues, and user account management.
• Utilize and contribute to the internal knowledge base for common issues and solutions.
• Create, update, and close support tickets in the IT ticketing system with accurate documentation.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional attitude.
• Effectively troubleshoot and resolve customer complaints or concerns.
• Meet or exceed performance metrics such as call handling time and quality assurance.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Paid 6‑week training starting Monday 2/2. After training, assigned to 1st or 2nd shift, working Saturday or Sunday (or both) with two consecutive days off during the week.

• Entry‑level candidate with a diploma, associate degree, or completed education in Computer Science or related IT field.
• Or 2 certifications (A+, Sec+, Net+, or CCNA).
• USD 1.00 differential for bilingual agents.
• Must be local to Cedar Rapids IA, Huntsville AL, or Raleigh NC if possible; fully remote candidates considered.
• Tier II qualification allows salary starting at $15.50/hr.

$15.00–$15.50 per hour.
