OverviewThe Lockheed Martin Space Human Resources team is looking for a passionate Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support the Strategic Defense Systems (SDS) Mission Segment, an integral part of the Strategic & Missile Defense (SMD) line of business. This position will be based in Huntsville, Alabama, and will support the SDS Vice President, Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) Program Vice President, Space Based Interceptors (SBI) Programs and the associated Program Management offices.
The successful candidate will be a champion of Lockheed Martin's culture and values, consulting with business leaders on strategic initiatives, working with employees and cross-functional groups to solve complex organizational challenges, and be an integral part of the client 00s leadership team. This will require you to develop a comprehensive understanding of the Programs business strategy, analyze data into actionable insights and develop innovative recommendations to solve short-term and long-term business opportunities and challenges to support and execute the Lockheed Martin Space Human Capital Strategy.
- Act as a trusted HR partner to leaders, consulting on strategic initiatives and solving organizational challenges.
- Develop understanding of the Programs business strategy, analyze data into actionable insights, and recommend solutions to address opportunities and challenges.
- Collaborate with HR business partners and COEs to deliver HR solutions in areas including Strategic Workforce Planning, Organizational Effectiveness, Compensation & Benefits, Performance Management, Employee Relations, Talent Management and Development, and HR Metrics.
- Engage with executive leadership and employees to foster positive organizational outcomes and drive the HR strategy across the SDS Programs.
- Prior HRBP experience.
- Experience supporting Executive level leaders and strong communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects through full lifecycle (design, develop, implement) and deliver impactful results.
- Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills with the ability to adjust style to develop relationships with all levels of leadership, employees and peers locally and virtually.
- Experience with data analysis to inform recommendations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Final Secret security clearance.
- Master’s Degree in Human Resources or related field.
- 10 years of HR Business Partner experience driving outcomes through strategic HR initiatives.
- Experience working in a large matrixed organization.
- Executive presence and acumen, with ability to think critically, strategically, and proactively about business challenges and opportunities.
- Collaborative mindset with a proven ability to partner with HR COEs and functions to drive alignment and results.
- Influencing and decision-making skills to build trust and consensus with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated project management experience.
- Analytical skills and ability to present concise solutions to varying leadership levels.
- Experience with program start-ups focusing on staffing and workforce planning.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of schedules. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five-day week; some roles may be condensed. Condensed schedules provide additional time away from the office and are in addition to Paid Time Off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off.
