Overview
Under the direct supervision of the Lab Administrative Director, Pre-Analytical Manager and Reference Laboratory Supervisor, the Client Services Representative is responsible for daily interaction with Huntsville Hospital Reference Laboratory clients, in-house clinical staff and laboratory technical staff regarding lab testing for all patient types. Our client services department routinely responds to telephone inquiries regarding specimen or testing requirements, test result status, courier services and results reporting issues.
Client services staff are also responsible for working cooperatively with a variety of customers to ensure complete and accurate documentation related to lab orders and diagnosis code information. The client services representative must maintain close coordination with the Laboratory Marketing department.
