Overview
The UAB Huntsville Regional Medical Campus (HRMC) is part of the University of Alabama at Birmingham Health System. We are one of the leading outpatient care facilities in north Alabama and consist of four outpatient clinics - Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Family Medicine, and Psychiatry. We are also a teaching facility for medical students and have Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Psychiatry residency programs.
The Operations Administrator, in partnership with the Executive Administrator, oversees all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, payroll, and financial reporting for the Valley Foundation practice plan. Assists with developing and managing the Heersink School of Medicine budget and prepares financial analyses and various financial reports. Oversees purchasing, facilities maintenance, human resources, and information technology operations for the Huntsville campus.
Assures successful planning, management and analysis of clinical practice operations, program development, information systems, human resources, facilities management, regulatory compliance, and sponsored research to optimize the operational activities of the department. Represents the department chair and speaks on behalf of the department on committees for UAB Health System, Health Services Foundation, UAB Hospital, The Kirklin Clinic and the University to collaborate and plan strategically for the future of the organization.
Partners with other senior members of the department, school, Health Services Foundation and the UAB Health System regarding all aspects of strategic planning clinical and academic program development and facilitates timely and fiscally responsible execution. Oversees non-faculty personnel; assists the chair and the divisions with faculty recruitments and appointments. Responsible for supervision of clerical and administrative personnel including, but not limited to, recruiting, hiring, termination, evaluation of employee performance, staff development and training.
Serves as internal representative for legal and contractual issues involving the department. Represents the department in interactions with the school and University entities regarding the financing, reassignment and appropriate renovations of space. Performs all functions in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and UAB policies and procedures.

- Primary financial point of contact with UAB Central and SOM administration.
- Oversees purchasing, facilities maintenance, human resources, and information technology operations for the Huntsville campus. Helps onboard and train new employees for these departments, ensuring they understand operational processes and procedures.
- Assists in developing, implementing, and optimizing operational processes to improve efficiency.
- Acts as a liaison between various departments, ensuring smooth communication and workflow.
- Ensure that all operational activities comply with company policies, legal, regulations, and industry standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Salary Range: $99,090 - $110,000

QualificationsMaster's degree in Business, Health Administration or a related field and eight (8) years of related experience required.
Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
