ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
Schedule/
Hours:
Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with the possibility of covering evening/overnight shifts
40 hours per week with benefits/Rate of pay $15.45 per hour
This position is responsible for:
Supervises and participates in performing the day-to-day activities necessary for the smooth operation of a lodge/shelter/house providing housing, food, transportation, and educational assistance; ensures that paperwork is completed and lodge rules are followed by all clients; ensures compliance with The Salvation Army policies and procedures as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures paperwork is completed and rules are followed by clients
- Ensures compliance with The Salvation Army policies and procedures as well as local, state, and federal regulations
- Provides administrative support for social services and housing program
- Serves as lead worker to security personnel and participates in the same work. Monitors the behavior and activity of residents ensuring safety and compliance with house rules. Ensures shelter is maintained in a neat and proper order.
- Drives a Salvation Army vehicle for the purposes of transporting clients to and from appointments, for donation pickups, and other errands
- Supervises and participates in the cleaning and maintenance of facilities, supplies and equipment; inspects facility on a routine basis to ensure compliance with established standards
- Supervises and participates in the selection, purchasing and preparation of food
Physical Requirements and
Working Conditions:
- Ability to meet attendance requirements
- Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language
- Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.)
- Work is performed in a social services environment where exposure to communicable diseases is possible

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or G.E.D.,
and
Two years experience working in a social or public service environment with experience assisting the public,
or
any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

CERTIFICATIONS:
Valid Driver's License
