Position: Patient Access Rep- HH Main/ER and W/C- FT/PT/PRN positions available/Varied shifts available

Patient Access Representative – Huntsville Hospital

Positions available: Full‑time, Part‑time, PRN. Shift options: varied days, including weekends, holidays, and on‑call.

Responsibilities
  • Greets the public, patients, and families.
  • Obtains and enters demographic and financial information for all patient types.
  • Handles all customer service issues in a customer‑friendly manner.
  • Accurately listens and responds appropriately to address and resolve issues.
  • Ensures all paperwork is checked for registration accuracy.
  • Collects required fees from patients or authorized representatives.
  • Maintains daily operations and ensures flexibility to work scheduled or alternative shifts.
Education / Certification
  • High School/GED required.
  • Post‑secondary education preferred.
Experience
  • Two to three years of customer service / public relations / leadership experience preferred.
  • Two to three years of computer experience preferred.
  • Previous medical record or billing experience strongly preferred; one year from other fields will be considered.
Additional Skills & Abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written skills required.
  • Typing 35 wpm at 90% accuracy required.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with a positive attitude.
  • Effective time management, organizational skills, multitasking, and efficiency.
  • Data compilation and analysis preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite strongly preferred.
