Patient Access Representative – Huntsville Hospital
Positions available: Full‑time, Part‑time, PRN. Shift options: varied days, including weekends, holidays, and on‑call.
Responsibilities- Greets the public, patients, and families.
- Obtains and enters demographic and financial information for all patient types.
- Handles all customer service issues in a customer‑friendly manner.
- Accurately listens and responds appropriately to address and resolve issues.
- Ensures all paperwork is checked for registration accuracy.
- Collects required fees from patients or authorized representatives.
- Maintains daily operations and ensures flexibility to work scheduled or alternative shifts.
- High School/GED required.
- Post‑secondary education preferred.
- Two to three years of customer service / public relations / leadership experience preferred.
- Two to three years of computer experience preferred.
- Previous medical record or billing experience strongly preferred; one year from other fields will be considered.
- Excellent verbal and written skills required.
- Typing 35 wpm at 90% accuracy required.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with a positive attitude.
- Effective time management, organizational skills, multitasking, and efficiency.
- Data compilation and analysis preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite strongly preferred.
