Overview
Provides medical nutrition care to patients through nutrition assessment, diagnosis, intervention and education utilizing evidence based guidelines. Develops care plans with appropriate follow-up and reassessment of intervention. Manages the total nutritional care of patients receiving Enteral Nutrition. Assess and diagnose patients for malnutrition.
Responsibilities- Provide medical nutrition care to patients through nutrition assessment, diagnosis, intervention and education utilizing evidence based guidelines.
- Develop care plans with appropriate follow-up and reassessment of intervention.
- Manage the total nutritional care of patients receiving Enteral Nutrition.
- Assess and diagnose patients for malnutrition.
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Nutrition from an accredited college or university
- Licensure, Certification and or Registration: Alabama State Licensure. Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (must be obtained within 6 months of employment)
- Experience: 1-2 years clinical experience preferred but not required
- Additional Skills/Abilities: Excellent communication skills. Good organizational skills with attention to detail necessary.
