- The Orthopaedic Center
- Assist various orthopedic physicians under the direction of Clinical Director
- Perform phlebotomy services for patients
- Submit all laboratory specimens following proper guidelines
- Perform EKG’s
- Provide coverage for clinical teams as needed
- Perform wound care/dressing changes
- Drawing up meds; calling in medications
- Application of sterile fields
- X‑ray duties as needed
- Application and removal of casts and splints
- Locate any necessary imaging, test results or reports for upcoming appointments
- Schedule and precert MRI’S, lab work, procedures, and surgeries
- Prepare exam rooms, restock supplies for clinic, power up computers, etc.
- Prepare for clinic by printing out patient information as requested by physician
- Assist with verifying pre‑op labs and scheduling surgery clearances as needed
- Assist other team members as needed
- Fill out disability, return‑to‑work, and insurance forms
- Travel locally to satellite offices as schedule requires
- Friendly and Professional patient communication
- Answering and returning patient phone calls
- Provide various forms of patient education and handouts
- Escorting patients to and from exam rooms
- Appointment/surgery reminder calls
- Respond to and chart patient messages
- Communicate test results to patients with direction from physician
- Phlebotomy experience strongly preferred but willing to train
- EKG experience is a plus
- Minimum one‑year full time clinical experience in healthcare preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, TOC physicians and staff
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask and meet deadlines
- Outstanding organizational, verbal and writing skills
- Independent, self‑starting and highly motivated
- Strong patient care and interpersonal skills
- Proven positive, “teamwork” attitude and work history
- Must be able to use arms, hands and fingers skillfully
- Constant standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time
- Must be agile and able to work efficiently in space limited areas
- Consistently work at a productive pace
- Must readily adapt to frequent treatment schedule changes
