Specialized Structural Heart Ultrasound Tech - Echo Lab 1st Shift

Responsibilities

• Helps implement the strategic plan for Structural Heart in collaboration with the assigned Clinical Coordinator and remaining structural heart team.
• Operates within established departmental budget.
• Maintains current knowledge of Joint Commission standards and assists the department with meeting those requirements.
• Continuously evaluates department processes to improve the quality of service.
• Ensures that department standards and policies and procedures are current.
• Enforces hospital and department policies and procedures.
• Responds to physicians, administration and other departments in an appropriate and timely manner.
• Assists with personnel issues, to include selection and orientation of new employees for the Structural Heart team.
• Evaluates appropriate staffing levels in order to accommodate the needs of patients, other hospital employees and departments.

• High School Diploma/GED required
• Registry in related field, such as CCI or ARDMS is required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers is required within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to communicate in English with people from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Ability to use effective interpersonal relation skills when working with a variety of people and situations.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and adjust to continuing changes in the daily work schedule.
• Absolute integrity in the accurate performance and reporting of diagnostic procedures.
• Ability to type for administrative, technical, and procedure related purposes.
• Basic computer and keyboard skills required.
• Must be able to display positive attitude, cheerfulness and the willingness to assist when communicating with the public.
