- Perform MRI procedures at a tech level following TOC protocols
- Maintain proper quality control procedures
- Comfortable performing gadolinium injections for contrast exams
- Document work process as required
- Working knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to MRI exams and equipment
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians, and staff
- Understanding of concepts, standards, procedures, and equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Must be able to work extended hours and cover other office locations when necessary
Requirements:
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of imaging techniques to perform a routine test
- Knowledge of imaging equipment and testing to perform quality control checks and troubleshooting of instrumentation
- Requires adherence to all policies and procedures, including standards for safety, attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance
- Three 12-hour Shifts Friday-Sunday
- Exceptional customer service/patient care skills are required
Qualifications:
Education and Certification
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Radiology program required
- National registration with the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (AART)
- CPR Certification
Experience
- A Minimum of One (1) year of experience in MRI is required.
Must also possess:
- Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and meet deadlines
- Outstanding organizational, verbal, and writing skills
- Independent, self-starting, and highly motivated
- Strong patient care and interpersonal skills
- Proven positive, "teamwork" attitude and work history
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to use eyes, ears, arms, hands, and fingers skillfully
- Frequent moving, pushing, and pulling of heavy patients and equipment
- Constant standing and walking
- Must be agile and able to work efficiently in limited space areas
- Consistently work at a productive pace
- Must readily adapt to frequent treatment schedule changes
