Harris is seeking a Sr. Specialist, Program Finance to join the team at our Huntsville, AL HQ location. Our Financial Analysts play a key role in keeping our departments and programs on track. All departments utilize Earned Value Management System (EVMS) to keep projects and programs moving with accurate, complete information for our customers. We seek a proactive, self-starter who can work effectively in a team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to collaborate with Program Management and Engineering. The ideal candidate is detail oriented with good organizational skills, capable of multi-tasking, and able to work with minimal day-to-day supervision. Successful candidates will demonstrate efficiency, problem-solving, and resourcefulness, with a commitment to quality while developing leadership skills as a key business partner. In this role, the individual will apply Earned Value Management (EVM), Finance, and accounting skills to prepare financial reporting on a major defense program;

use metrics related to management best practices and prepare reports reflecting Awards, Sales, Profit, and Cash. The role may also assist proposal teams to develop bases-of-estimate, provide actuals data, and support fact-finding/negotiations as needed.

• Works under general oversight to develop time-phased integrated budgets and schedules, Earned Value data compliance and reporting, cost accounting, and cost and schedule integration.
• Comprehensive knowledge of financial performance of programs, providing management with an early warning of potential performance issues, identifying risks and offering solutions.
• Budgeting, cost control and variance analysis, internal/external reporting, risk management and financial support.
• Development of quarterly EACs; analyze/assist in accurate projection of ETC, EAC, and LRE data.
• Educate and lead financial analysts with organization of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), creation and maintenance of charge numbers.
• Analyze costs and personnel to ensure actuals are within budget and charged to the correct end objective.
• Analyze workforce planning, forecasting and reporting.
• Accounting data extraction and reconciliation.
• Generate program financial artifacts such as EV reports, graphs, and analyses, including customer reporting.
• Develop and present briefing of program financial status to customer.
• Educate PMO and CAMS with internal reports on cost and schedule performance.
• Communicate within and outside the organization to explain and influence changes to practices and processes.
• Provide suggestions and implementation of new process improvement initiatives.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis, data integrity checks, and validations related to program financials.
• Broad knowledge of FAR, CAS, and GAAP.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Up to 5% business travel.
• Ability to obtain US Security Clearance.

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant finance experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of related finance experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior finance experience.
