Job TitleFinancial Analyst
Job PurposeDevelops, interprets, and implements financial concepts for financial planning and control. Performs technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. Gathers, analyzes, prepares, and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements, and operating forecasts. Performs economic research and studies in the areas of rates of return, depreciation, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance, and the impact of governmental requirements.
Natureof Duties
Develops, interprets, and implements financial concepts for financial planning and control with primary responsibility for monitoring the plant’s Estimate at Completion (EAC) preparation process. Performs technical analysis aiding various business units to determine present and future financial performance, with particular emphasis on material costs. Gathers, analyzes, prepares, and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements, and operating forecasts for senior plant management.
Primary Responsibility over several SOX internal controls with external audit agents. Performs economic research and studies in the areas of rates of return, depreciation, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance, and the impact of governmental requirements.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a similar field is required.
- 5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst with demonstrated EAC preparation support, primarily in a manufacturing environment. D.O.D electronics manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in interpreting, organizing, and analyzing financial data from multiple sources including engineering, shop floor, accounting, and other areas.
- Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Oracle knowledge/experience and PMPLAN experience are highly desirable.
- Ability to develop ad hoc reports and presentations for internal and external audit agents.
- Capability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal business communication skills.
