Job Description Job Summary
The Program Cost Analyst will be responsible for conducting cost analysis, budgeting, and pricing for government contracts. This position demands strong analytical skills, flexibility, and the ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining compliance with contractual and regulatory standards. Looking for a proactive, collaborative team member who demonstrates flexibility and commitment to achieving goals and meeting deadlines.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain accurate cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts for government programs.
Prepare, review, and finalize monthly spend plans to support financial forecasting and compliance.
Support pricing strategies for all contract types
Analyze cost data and provide actionable insights to program and leadership teams.
Collaborate across departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in program cost analysis within government contracting/manufacturing.
Proven expertise in pricing and cost management.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Highly organized and able to adapt to changes, delays, or unexpected events.
Ability to react well under pressure and respond promptly to customer needs.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; general knowledge of Microsoft Outlook products.
Experience with Cost Point and Cognos is preferred.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Outlook; MS Excel and MS Word software.
Other Essential Duties- Follows all import/export requirements, consulting with facility import/export personnel as required.
Skills and Abilities
Basic Knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100
Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/6 Sigma/Kaizen
Knowledge of specific software (design, analysis, ERP…)
- US Citizenship with ability to attain/maintain government security clearance.
