This role:
Serves as Estimating and Cost Volume leader on medium to large proposals within the SMD LOB. Provides guidance to the proposal team from analyzing the Request for Proposals (RFP), to organizing the cost volume, through color team and required management reviews. Product areas includes Missile Defense Programs, primarily THAAD. Candidate will develop, plan, and schedule proposal activities in coordination with proposal acquisition managers and Contracts.
Compiles cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of a proposal in accordance with RFP specifications, TINA, FAR, DFAR and company policies and procedures. Will analyze and compile historical data, build cost models and assist in the development of cost estimates to support quick turn pricing exercises. Participates in fact-finding meetings and pricing reviews with management and the customer.
Member of the contract negotiating team. Candidate will assist junior members of the team with their proposals, training new employees, and conduct independent peer reviews of team members cost volumes and perform rates and pricing reviews.
Basic Qualifications:
Cost Volume, Proposal, contracts, estimating, financial analysis, or any other related finance experiences. Ability to analyze and compile data, build cost models in order to assist in the development of independent cost estimates for programs and products. Strong Microsoft skills and analytical abilities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Able to work independently as well as part of a team. Ability to obtain a secret clearance (US citizenship required.)

Experience in the aerospace/defense industry.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics,
Statistics, or related discipline.
Advanced Excel skills.
Negotiation Experience.
Knowledge of learning curves development and
implementation.
Termination and Debit/Credit Proposal Experience.
Understanding of the Material Estimating process.
Current Secret or Top Secret clearance.
8+ years of related experiences
Must have a good understanding of proposal compliance. Working knowledge of the FAR, DFAR, and TINA.
Security Clearance Statement:
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $90,200 - $159,045. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
