GENERAL FUNCTION:Accountable for overall production, coaching, training, and developing a team of licensed retail bankers. May handle a large book of clients with complex financial profiles. Responsible for sales of securities products and achieving targeted securities fee income goals within the assigned territory. Design and customize coaching sessions to train bankers on investment strategies and product solutions. Conduct appointments with bankers and assist in identifying potential clients and providing tailored solutions.
Maintain a presence within the bank to develop strong relationships and credibility with clients.
Ensure risk management by adhering to policies, elevating concerns, and acting ethically. Always prioritize doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, ensuring actions and behaviors promote a positive customer experience. Identify, assess, and manage risks actively while operating within the bank's risk appetite.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Achieve sales goals while serving clients' best interests.
- Plan and conduct coaching sessions with retail bank employees.
- Develop and conduct client meetings to review accounts and close sales.
- Handle client needs, prioritize, and delegate tasks.
- Follow-up post-appointments to maintain relationships and generate referrals.
- Manage sales planning for self and team to meet goals and drive results.
- Maintain knowledge of financial products through continuous learning.
- Delegate tasks effectively and ensure follow-through.
- Prepare reports for sales tracking.
- Coordinate daily activities with the team to ensure accountability.
- Conduct seminars to promote business development.
- Introduce clients to other Fifth Third Bank services like loans and estate planning.
- Serve as a coach and mentor for licensed employees.
- Organize and share tools and skills for success.
- Guide the team towards goals and recognize achievements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Prior brokerage industry experience.
- Series 7, 66 (or 63 and 65), and applicable insurance licenses;
Variable Annuity license required. - Motivated by sales, recognition, and competitions.
- Strong motivational and coaching skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts simply.
- Proven relationship-building skills.
- Deep knowledge of securities, investment products, and financial solutions.
- Excellent sales and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel within the territory.
