The SCI Huntsville Plant Controller will be responsible for all accounting aspects of plant operations, and will support Plant Management in the operations of the Plant. This is a key role within the SCI Finance team, a major influencer in furthering development of SCI Finance as a learning organization that performs with integrity. This is not a “run the existing playbook” role;
this is a great opportunity to apply your knowledge and experiences and drive improvements to help create a world class accounting function. The plant controller will report to the Division Controller. This role has growth potential and high visibility within Sanmina Corp and will interface with internal and external auditors and internal leadership.
- Ensure accurate and timely plant financial accounting and reporting.
- Develop and execute efficient accounting practices and controls; challenge and overhaul ineffective processes.
- Work closely with SCI FP&A to develop insightful integrated financial forecasts.
- Provide advice and counsel to plant operating management to ensure optimum performance of the plant.
- Collect and interpret financial data to influence, recommend or impel management toward logical decisions consistent with company objectives.
- Identify and implement programs that control the corporation’s financial risk consistent with direction provided by the Division Controller and Corporate Accounting.
- Review and analyze financial information and highlights with the Plant Managers to drive plant profitability.
- Prepare and submit in a timely fashion, the month end close and management reports.
- Prepare financial projections and Plant status reports to divisional and corporate management as required and coordinate discussions with plant and division management on financial matters.
- Develop and implement systems to control the manufacturing operation costs and maintain systems to monitor product lines and customer profitability.

Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5‑7 years’ Cost Accounting/Plant Controller experience in a manufacturing environment.
- ASC 606 revenue recognition principles understanding and practical experience.
- Strong working knowledge of FAR and CAS (Cost Accounting Standards) preferred; integrated financial systems (Oracle Projects preferred), cost accounting/analysis in an actual‑job order cost environment, inventory analysis and financial statement preparation.
- Excellent organizational skills and time management.
- Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills.
- CMA/CPA preferred.
