We’re seeking an Intermediate Environmental Scientist based in Huntsville, AL to support and deliver remediation and sustainability projects. You’ll utilize your environmental science (or related) background and creativity to address remediation, and sustainability issues. You’ll help advance the industry by delivering sustainable solutions for clients and will connect with Jacobs’ practitioners to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions. You will collaborate with a team of scientists and design practitioners of varying disciplines and experience levels in the office and the field.

Here's what you'll need- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or Chemistry
- Current 40-hr HAZWOPER certification required
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in environmental consulting including field experience with groundwater and soil sampling
- Physically capable of conducting field work in remote locations in varying weather conditions
- Ability to oversee tasks performed by subcontractors
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to take detailed field notes and complete daily reports
- Strong attention to detail when making technical evaluations and reviewing reports
- Knowledge of environmental compliance, environmental consulting, and client interaction
- Basic knowledge of federal and state/provincial environmental regulations
- Possess business acumen that is applied in all aspects of project execution
- Live in the Huntsville, AL area or ability to relocate
- The first 6 months of work will be primarily at NASA MSFC in Huntsville, AL, but travel ranging from 50 - 75% may be required for future field work
- USA Citizenship is required for this position

The base salary range for this position is $61,700.00 to $93,280.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
