Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Missile Systems Structural Engineer to join our Huntsville, AL Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) team! In this role you will be part of Parsons’ Federal Solutions team providing Systems Engineering Technical Assistance to the Ground-based Midcourse Dense (GMD) Product Office under the Teams-Next Missile Defense Systems Engineering (TN-MDSE) contract managed by the Missile Defense Agency.
WhatYou'll Be Doing:
- Support NGI All-Up Round (AUR) and Component Level Integrated Product Team (IPT) activities and working groups focused on NGI Missile Systems Structural Engineering activities
- Provide Subject Matter expertise in structural, mechanical, and composite manufacturing/testing in key areas to include prototype testing, design reviews, risk reviews, contractor trade studies, and other contractor design and development efforts
- Review, analyze, and verify Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) and Objective Evidence (OE) deliverables and/or coordinate reviews of such items with agency Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
- Support MDA Government oversight and management of NGI Prime contractors testing and manufacturing interceptor structural components
- BS STEM degree and 7+ years of relevant structural engineering experience
- Active Secret clearance
- Ability to provide Structural engineering evaluation and assessments including recommendations
- Experience in the structural design and qualification of Rockets/Missiles or Large Aircraft
- Experience leading a collaborative team to deliver rigorously planned, coordinated, and synchronized results
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment
- BS STEM degree in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Structural Engineering preferred
- Experience with composite structure design, manufacture, and testing
An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.
