We have an outstanding Contract position for a Creo Product Definition Designer to join a leading Company located in the Huntsville, AL surrounding area.
US Citizenship is required.
In this role, you will provide imaginative, thorough, and practicable solutions to a wide range of technical design problems.
Responsibilities- Under limited general direction and following established procedures in accordance with contractual requirements and company policy and procedures, this position performs engineering design assignments for the preparation of engineering design documents and maintains the design disclosure.
- Typical responsibilities include:
Prepare product definition (CAD models and drawings). - Perform Verification of Product Definition tolerance stacks and calculations, including models, drawings, and PLM attributes and relationships.
- Create, check, and maintain design product definition (Models & Drawings) for engineering designs; this includes, but is not limited to: the preparation of design layouts and/or preliminary conceptual design layouts, as well as outsourced design project leadership.
- Performs design calculations to validate any phase of design requirements.
- Estimation of resources and schedule required to complete a design activity and training for staff.
- Provide technical guidance to less senior CAD designers and to design support personnel.
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and at least 10 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education.
- Minimum 10 years of experience with CAD systems (Creo 10.0 preferred), along with experience using CAD database management and PLM tools (Windchill preferred).
- Knowledge of Mechanical Aerospace hardware required.
- Expert knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (ASME Y14.5).
- Ability to read and interpret product definition and related specifications.
- ASME Certification in GD&T is a plus.
