POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Lean Project Management Office (PMO) in managing the planning, design, and construction of the Command and Control Facility for United States Space Command. In this role, you will provide expert oversight and ensure full regulatory compliance for all electrical systems. This position emphasizes strong collaboration with the owner’s representative, design teams, and contractors to meet project performance metrics and proactively resolve issues critical to this mission‑essential facility.

Candidate must be interested in progress over bureaucratic process.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Operate within a Lean PMO framework to drive continuous improvement and efficiency in the quality assurance and compliance process for this critical facility.
  • Serve as the primary technical authority, ensuring all electrical systems align with applicable codes and project standards.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to electrical system quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor installation quality and adherence to approved plans and safety standards.
  • Facilitate collaborative problem‑solving sessions with contractors, design consultants, and the owner’s representative to identify root causes and implement effective solutions for technical and code compliance challenges.
  • Oversee and witness the testing, commissioning, and final acceptance of electrical systems, verifying that performance and safety standards are achieved.
QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience providing oversight on complex, commercial or industrial‑scale construction projects with a value of $100M or greater.
  • Comprehensive expertise not only in the technical aspects of electrical systems but also in modern construction processes and construction management.
  • Proven ability to analyze and comprehend complex electrical power, lighting, and life safety systems, particularly those found in mission‑critical facilities like the Command and Control Facility for United States Space Command.
  • Exceptional risk assessment skills, with the ability to identify potential compliance and quality risks and develop effective mitigation strategies before they impact the project.
  • Expertise in constructability reviews, sustainability principles, and designing for maintainability to ensure long‑term operational efficiency and value.
  • Proactive problem‑solving skills with the foresight to anticipate potential installation and commissioning issues and address them preemptively.
  • Superior communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical problems into clear, actionable information for leadership and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • A highly collaborative mindset with proven success in building consensus and working effectively with owner’s representatives, design teams, and contractors to achieve project goals.
  • Top Secret/SCI clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Experience working within a PMO or a Lean construction environment.
  • Familiarity with Government and/or Department of Defense (DoD) organizations and project structures.
  • Certifications in construction quality management or Lean principles.
  • Certified Commissioning Authority (CxA) or similar certification.
